Mission Of Mercy To Provide Free Services Once Again

According to the statistics, Allegany County leads the state of Maryland in natural tooth loss. More than 20 percent of the local our population is considered to be in poverty. More than 15 percent of people have not been to a dentist in five-plus years. For anyone needing oral health care who can’t afford a dentist, the Western Maryland Mission of Mercy clinic once again will be providing free service for two days. This will be the fourth year for the clinic at the Allegany County Fairgrounds multipurpose building.  Mary Beth Pirolozzi, executive director of County United Way, said the clinic is set for October 25 and 26 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. ..
