Mixed Messages On Possibility Of County Taking Over EMS Services For City

Mixed messages coming from the Allegany County Commissioners and the Cumberland Mayor and City Council regarding the possibility of the county taking over the city’s emergency medical services. While the two sides acknowledge that such an action could lead to a more efficient, effective operation- at this time there doesn’t even appear to be a clear consensus on whether the two sides are seriously discussing such a proposal.
