Still recovering from the shock of receiving bids that exceeded projections by 10 to 15 million dollars for the new Allegany High School last week- the Board of Education on Tuesday received a project update from facilities director Vince Montana. Montana, addressing the board during the regular public work session, said that staff had not yet begun to examine all of the voluminous bid packages submitted last Wednesday from five different firms- but that process will begin shortly with a formal recommendation being made to the school board next month…
