More Public Meetings Could Be On The Way

A public meeting held earlier this month to provide a forum on the future of downtown Cumberland was so well received that future meetings are being talked about. A wide range of issues and concerns were brought to the table at the nearly 3 hour session held at Windsor Hall- many of those questions centered on problems best addressed by law enforcement. Panhandlers; biking and skateboarding on the mall; and general behavioral issues of some of the regulars on the downtown mall were all matters that will be addressed by city police according to Captain Greg Leake who represented the police department at that session…
