WHAG TV reports nearly 40 firefighters responded to an early morning house fire in Berkeley Springs, WVa. on Thursday. Morgan County Dispatch tells us the call came in just after 4am for reports of a house fire, on Avalon Lane in Berkeley Springs, WVa. Dispatch says there were no injuries and crews were still on scene as of 7:30 this morning. According to a tanker from the South Morgan Fire Department the house was completely burned down and the Red Cross is assisting the family who was displaced. Units from Morgan, Allegany, Berkeley, and Washington Counties were all on the scene. The fire is still under investigation.
