Longtime leading business and community leader Morton Peskin Jr has passed away. Peskin, a certified pedorthist, the former owner of Peskins’ Inc. on Baltimore Street, and a major supporter of the League for Crippled Children for many years, died Sunday. Peskin and his wife, Sue, were lifelong residents of Cumberland. They have three children, Susan, Lisa and Laurie; three grandchildren, Tracy, Ryan and Josh; and one great-granddaughter. The Scarpelli Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
