On 5/3/12, at 12:40 PM, Allegany County Sheriffs Office responded to Rt 220 near Dales Pit Stop in Rawlings for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found a single vehicle on its roof. The driver, 42 year old Alice Grove of Keyser, was southbound when she lost control and struck a mailbox. The vehicle then flipped onto its roof. A 21 year old female passenger was transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries, by Tri Town EMS. McCoole Fire Department assisted on the scene. Alice Grove was found not have a driver's license. She was charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision and driving without a license. She was released pending trial.
