On Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 the Cumberland Police Department assisted by the Cumberland Fire Department, responded to E/B Interstate 68 at Maryland Avenue for a motorcycle accident involving a school bus. When emergency personnel arrived, it was learned that the operator of the motor cycle identified as Larry Robert Goldizen was attempting to exit I-68 at Maryland Avenue and lost control. His motorcycle slid and collided with the school bus that was entering E/B I-68 from Maryland Avenue. Goldizen received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. His motorcycle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The school bus also received damage as a result of the accident. No one was injured that was in the bus. Goldizen was not cited for the accident.
