The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office says a fire that damaged a “For Sale” motorcycle that was parked at the intersection of Route 51 and Blue Valley Road was intentionally set. 

Joseph Gaither found his motorcycle had been suffered $2000 in damage last night.  The fire had burned itself out by the time the damage was discovered.

Additional Information:  Motorcycle was parked at location with a cardboard for sale sign on it which perpetrator(s) set on fire.  Fire spread to front area of motorcycle causing damage.    Fire burned itself out and was discovered when owner went to check on it.  Anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area of the motorcylce is requested to contact the State Fire Marshal's Office at 301-766-3888.
