Mt. Savage School was evacuated this morning a a result of the smell of a gas leak. Columbia Gas along with the Mt. Savage Fire Department assessed the situation and determined that the smell was coming from a gas jet in a science lab. ACPS maintenance department personnel are currently on site making the necessary repairs. The school has since received an all clear to return to the building and resume normal activities. The evacuation lasted approximately 30 minutes.
