On Saturday March 2, 2013, at 7:10 a.m., Cumberland City Police patrol officers responded to a private residence at the 600 block of Bedford Street for a reported assault. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim, who claimed to have been assaulted by his girlfriend, Tracy Malloy. Investigation revealed that Malloy allegedly struck the victim in the mouth, causing his lip to bleed. The victim attempted to call the police but upon doing so Malloy knocked the phone out of his hand. The victim's roommate tried to intervene and Malloy repeatedly struck him and bit his finger, causing minor injury. Both victims fled the residence and were able to call the police from a neighbor's house. Malloy was placed into custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Malloy was taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners office for a bond review and held on $20,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
