MS Walk set for Sunday

April 16th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

More than 500 area residents are expected to take part in the Cumberland Walk MS event Sunday morning at the Western Maryland Railway Station. The walk is expected to raise more than $50,000. Registration will be held from 8 to 9 a.m., followed by the walk from 9 to 11. The first walkers are expected to cross the finish line around 10 a.m. Money raised from the event will help fund cutting edge research, drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education and provide programs and services to help those with MS and their families, according to event organizers. For more information, contact Amanda Glenn, Walk MS Coordinator, at 301-639-6807 or amanda.glenn@nmss.org
