MSP Cumberland Barrack Relocating Temporarily

As preparations to replace the oldest Maryland State Police barrack in the state continue, the troopers and civilian staff at the Cumberland Barrack will be relocating temporarily and want spread the word to Allegany County citizens to make everyone aware of the new location.  The personnel assigned to the Cumberland Barrack will be temporarily relocating to the Allegany County Emergency Operations Center, located at 11400 Pittsburgh Plate Glass Road SE, Cumberland about 11 miles southeast of the current barrack.  The barrack phone number will remain the same and is 301-729-2101.  The barrack move is expected to occur in mid-November.  The temporary relocation is projected to last about two years.  Lt. H.B. Martz said that he and the other employees at the Cumberland Barrack appreciate the cooperation and hospitality of Allegany County officials and personnel who have agreed to share their office space during the construction phase…
