April 2nd, 2015 by WCBC Radio

On April 1, 2015 at approximately 4:30 pm, troopers from the Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack were conducting traffic enforcement on W/B Interstate 68 in LaVale.  A Dodge Ram pick-up truck operated by Charles Clayton Yeager of Manchester, Maryland was stopped for exceeding the posted maximum speed limit.   The vehicle was occupied by one passenger, Adam James Hall of New Windsor, Maryland.  Upon contact with the operator, troopers detected a strong odor of suspected raw marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  A probable cause search was conducted resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of controlled dangerous substances along with a digital scale, packaging materials and smoking devices.  Approximately 1.25 pounds of marijuana and 28 grams of hashish were seized along with cash and other drug paraphernalia.  Yeager and Hall were both transported to the Cumberland barrack for processing before appearing before a District Court commissioner and are being held on bond.  The suspects are charged with possession, and distribution of CDS.
