MSP McHenry Makes Arrest In Oakland Area Burglary

On Saturday, at approximately 7:49 AM, Troopers from the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack responded to the area of 1477 Maryland Highway, Oakland, Maryland for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, Troopers observed doors to two commercial businesses that had been kicked in. The businesses that sustained damage were Tressler Auto and Electric, and Peak Rehab.

Property was stolen from both establishments.

While conducting their investigation, Troopers developed a suspect that was staying at a nearby hotel. Upon making contact with the suspect, Troopers observed evidence from the crime in the room of the suspect. The suspect admitted to the Troopers to breaking into the businesses.

The suspect was identified as Corey S. McClanahan, 26 Y/O. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Not-Marijuana.
