MSP Searching for Two Robbery Suspects

The Maryland State Police from the McHenry Barracks are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery. At approximately 9:45 p.m. Tuesday night, troopers responded to a residence in Friendsville, MD in reference to a robbery and assault. Troopers made contact with the victims and it was learned that the assault occurred prior at the Friendsville Park on Old River Road in Friendsville. An investigation revealed that Zachary Ellis Campbell (20 yoa), and Brandon Michael Bennet (20 yoa), allegedly approached the victims in the Friendsville Park and displayed a knife ordering the victims to get on their knees. While the victims were on the ground, the victim's were searched and the victim’s car were searched while the suspects looked for valuables. One of the victims sustained minor injuries as a result of an assault that also occurred during the robbery. Charges have been filed, with warrants being issued for both Campbell and Bennett for robbery and assault charges.
