Simultaneous major road projects underway on Interstate 68 in Cumberland has led to substantial traffic delays in the past week- with peak hours sometimes seeing traffic come to a standstill and backed up several miles. The Maryland State Highway Administration has some good news- relief is on the way with a second lane being re-opened. Heather Keels, a spokesperson for the SHA, tells WCBC News that as the projects wind down- the traffic flow will improve noticeably- beginning today:
