Music legend plays Camden Yards tonight

July 26th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Some 50,000 fans are expected at the first-ever rock concert held in Oriole Park at Camden Yards Friday night as the Piano Man himself takes the stage.

Billy Joel ranks as one of the most popular recording artists in history, having sold over 150 million records , and better yet, more seats became available Friday morning for the once sold-out show. They are available online here.

Parking lots open at 4 p.m., gates open at 6 p.m. and the historic show begins at 8 p.m.

Officials warn fans to expect heavy traffic; some roads will temporarily reopen for the concert.

The Baltimore Department of Transportation says that the two right lanes of northbound Howard Street between Conway and Lombard streets, and the two left lanes of Pratt Street between Paca and Howard streets, will reopen to traffic beginning at noon Friday.

The southbound lanes of Howard Street will remain closed between Lombard and Conway streets.

However, barring anything unforeseen, the two left lanes on Pratt Street will remain open between Paca and Sharpstreets while the repair work continues just south of the intersection with Howard Street.

At 12:01 a.m. Sunday, Howard Street will once again be closed both ways between Conway and Lombard streets indefinitely.
