Myers Makes Less Than Flattering Remarks About South Cumberland & Cumberland Police

Washington County Commissioner LeRoy Myers made some less than flattering comments about Cumberland and its police department this week when discussing a housing complex in Hagerstown. According to the Herald Mail, Myers, a former state lawmaker who represented the South End of the Cumberland for 12 years,  told his colleagues that many houses in Cumberland are in decay and that you could probably tear down all of the houses in the South End of the city. Myers, whose wife is a former Cumberland councilwoman, also said in the article that there are police who won’t patrol at certain times of night in certain neighborhoods because it is too dangerous. He talked with WCBC News and did not back away from that claim…
