National Night Out, which brings together law enforcement agencies and the public in an informal setting, will be held Aug. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Somerville Avenue between First and Fourth streets near the Salvation Army in Cumberland. Maryland State Police and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office will hold a National Night Out event at Country Club Mall at the same time.
