National Night Out, which brings together law enforcement agencies and the public in an informal setting, will be held Aug. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. on Somerville Avenue between First and Fourth streets near the Salvation Army in Cumberland. Maryland State Police and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office will hold a National Night Out event at Country Club Mall at the same time. This will be the city’s fifth year and the event planning committee expects 1,000 people to attend. Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss….
