New Center At FSU Will Bring Degrees In Nursing

One of the major pieces of capital funding secured for Allegany County during this year’s session of the Maryland general assembly was $1 million to Frostburg State University for construction of a new Education Professions and Health Sciences Center. The funding for FSU is directed toward the design and construction of the health sciences center, a project with an anticipated cost of nearly $90 million that is targeted to be completed in 2021. The school received $2 million last year for the design and planning phase of the project. Delegate Jason Buckel said the new center will allow the university to offer additional degree programs, including those focused on professional degrees in the nursing, physician assistant and health sciences fields…
