New Charges Against Teacher Raise More Questions

With additional sexual offense charges filed against a Mountain Ridge High School teacher- this time involving a 15 year old girl- questions persist as to whether the policies and safeguards in place to protect the students against sexual predators need to be re-evalauated. 42 year-old Bart Mazer of Frostburg was arrested and charged in September with having inappropriate sexual contact with a 17 year old girl, and he turned himself in to police Friday after a grand jury indicted him on additional charges involving another student. Allegany County Board of Education President Laurie Marchini that everyone needs to be involved when it comes to matters such as this. She says whether it another student, parent,  faculty, administrators, custodians or cafeteria workers- it important for anyone in the system  to report anything they hear about or witness when it comes to the safety of a child:
