New FSU President Addressing Crime Around Campus as Top Priority

Frostburg State University’s new president has hit the ground running when its comes to addressing the growing problem crime being committed on and off campus by students. Ronald Nowaczyk was appointed in February to succeed Jonathan Gibralter, who left Frostburg State last summer to become president of Wells College in Aurora, New York. He officially began his presidency on May the 9th.  On Tuesday, he addressed local business leaders at the Cumberland Country Club and said that a top priority was to look into a couple of high profile robberies that had taken place recently involving FSU students- and to begin a series of meetings with the hopes of developing a strategic plan to address the problem…
