No Action Taken Yet On Proposed Sewer Rate Hike

The Allegany County Commissioners- while approving the FY 2015 budget last week- have not yet taken action on a proposed sewer rate hike. Mark Yoder, utility division chief, provided a brief overview during Thursday’s public meeting saying that the proposed increase for sewer customers will add $3 per quarter to their bill. The total impact to the county will be around $300,000 in additional sewer expenditures.
