As he indicated last week, Allegany County School Superintendent David Cox, appearing on WCBC's "Dave Norman Show" that presently there are no plans to layoff or furlough teachers. Cox reiterated the comments he made during last week's special budget meeting. He said that the system has been dealing with state budget cuts by cutting positions through attrition and retirements- and will continue to work in that direction.
