Number Of Fatal Overdoses In Allegany County Shows Improvement

July 30th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

While numbers for the State of Maryland are getting worse, the report on fatal opioid overdoses in Allegany County showed dramatic improvement in 2017 and during the first three months of this year.

Clay Stamp is Governor Larry Hogan’s point man in addressing the crisis, and told WCBC in an exclusive interview that he has taken note of local efforts to combat the problem…

Stamp agreed with local law enforcement, which has told WCBC it is not celebrating the improvement too much, because the situation could go bad again quickly.
