The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has confirmed that an EF 1 tornado touched down Friday evening about 10 miles south of Morgantown.
The twister was on the ground for about 250 yards, and was 70 yards wide at one point. There were no injuries associated with the tornado, but it did cause a warning to be issued for a path headed for Garrett County.
