NY man, Westernport woman arrested on heroin and cocaine charges

On October 2,  members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, and Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack executed a search and seizure warrant in the 400 block of Maryland Avenue, Westernport, MD.  The search and seizure warrant was a result of a month-long CDS investigation into the distribution of heroin and cocaine in the Georges Creek area of Allegany County. 

Located during the search warrant was a large amount of cocaine packaged for resale, CDS packaging material and a large sum of U.S. currency.   As a result, Michael Rodriquez, New York, NY and Candice Graceland Taylor, Westernport, MD were arrested.

Through the investigation and search warrant, Rodriquez was charged with the following:   

-       CDS DIST-NARC (3 Counts)

-       CDS DIST: SCHOOL PROP (3 Counts)

-       CDS: POSS W/I DIST: NARC

-       CDS: P W/I DIST SCHOOL PROP

Taylor

        Taylor was charged with the following:

  • CDS: POSS W/I DIST: NARC
  • CDS: P W/I DIST SCHOOL PROP

 

 

 Taylor were both held without bail and Rodriquez is still awaiting a bail review. The investigation is ongoing.
