An Oakland man was found guilty in Garrett County Circuit Court of first-degree assault with the intent to cause serious bodily harm. Following a two-day jury trial, Kendall Shane Lowers, 40, was found not guilty of attempted first- and second-degree murder, according to the Garrett County State’s Attorney’s Office. Lowers was found not guilty of attempted first and second degree murder. Charges stem from an incident on November 27, 2011 when Lowers assaulted a man leaving him with severe injuries. Lowers could face up to 25 years in prison.
