Officer Allegedly Assaulted During Pershing Street Incident

Early Sunday, an officer from the Cumberland Police Department witnessed a disturbance in the middle of Pershing Street.

The suspect, Adam Jessen, was observed yelling and pushing a female. When the officer approached Jessen, Jessen pushed the officer. When the officer went to place Jessen under arrest, he resisted.

Jessen was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. He is currently awaiting his initial appearance at the District Court Commissioner’s Office.

ARRESTED: Adam Todd Jessen AGE: 29 Cumberland, MD

CHARGES: Assault-2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest
