Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley has called a special session of the General Assembly to be held on May 14th. O'Malley made the annoucnement on Friday after weeks of planning with Michael Busch and Senate President Mike V. Miller. The special session will focus on completing a budget which was not during the regular 90-day General Assembly. Currently, Maryland is under a "Doomsday Budget" which if not replaced, will cut into Allegany County education drastically.
