O’Malley Comments on Shutdown End

Word of a bipartisan compromise in the U.S. Senate that seeks to end the federal government shutdown and avoid a financial default was welcomed news to Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley. The governor talked with reporters during an event at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Annapolis. The former chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, criticized Tea Party Republicans as “pro-shutdown Republicans” for not agreeing on proposals to end the shutdown without changes of the federal health care law.…
