O’Malley Discusses Minimum Wage Increase

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley had a roundtable discussion with businesses owners who support a minimum wage increase Thursday morning.  On Friday, the House of Delegates is due to take a final vote on the governor's bill to raise the minimum wage to $10.10-an-hour in three years During debate on Wednesday, the House rejected an amendment to restore the language allowing for the automatic increases.  O’Malley has made increasing the wage one of the top priorities during his final General Assembly session as governor, participating in a number of recent rallies supporting the cause.
