O’Malley Says Fears Of Gambling Revenue Shift Unfounded

Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said any fears or concerns that gambling revenue targeted for education will be shifted elsewhere in the future are unfounded and unnecessary. If expanded gambling is approved in November, the governor says that by statute, 48.5 percent of slot machines and 15 percent of table games goes to the education trust fund. O’Malley points out that slots have already generated roughly $180 million for Maryland schools- and despite significant budget cuts in recent years, the state has consistently increased its overall commitment to education funding…

    The Governor better explain how much more he disagrees with McKay or we the voters in this County will not in favor of Question 7. Does he still Miss Jim Stakem.
