February 27th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

This past Friday marked the official half way point of the 2012 Maryland General Assembly session- and while there has been no shortage of debate on a myriad of controversial issues ranging from same sex marriage to tax hikes- Governor Martin O’Malley says the real work is just beginning. O’Malley has  urged lawmakers this session to make difficult decisions to raise taxes in order to spur job growth through investments in schools, roads, bridges and wastewater treatment im-provements. The second term democrat said Friday that  Maryland is moving out of the recession, although the state still has not recovered all the jobs that were lost.
