Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley held a ceremony Monday to sign a number of measures, including one that decriminalizes possessing small amounts of marijuana.

Other bills signed included one that makes it easier for victims of domestic violence to obtain protective orders, another that increases security at Maryland prisons, and one that enhances communication abilities of emergency responders across the state.
