O’Malley Under Fire From Republicans Over Proposed Tax Increases

Having openly discussed the idea of considering increases in the gas tax; flush tax and state sales tax in recent days- Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley has come under immediate fire from many republicans in Annapolis to kick off the 2012 session of the General Assembly. Republican Senator Nancy Jacobs of Harford County called the idea of an increase in the sales tax “outlandish”, while Senate Minority Leader E.J. Pipkin said it’s another example of the governor being out of touch with most Marylanders…
