New changes have been reported surrounding Governor Martin O'Malley's "Flush Tax." According to WBAL News, families who who consume more than 8-thousand gallons a year would be charged triple if they fall under the "high end user" heading. An annual bill would go from $30 to over $100 under the new changes. Homes using under 2-thousand gallons a month would see their flush tax go down by $0.70 a month. The revenues from the levy are meant to go toward efforts to clean up the Cheseapeake Bay, including waste water plant upgrades.
