One of Three ORV Trails Approved

October 13th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources has selected one off-road vehicle trail proposed for state-owned lands in western Maryland. There were three proposed ORV trails proposed throughout western Maryland; however, many environmental groups pointed to the damaging effects of the trails. During the recent public input period, St. John’s Rock in Garrett County’s Savage River State Forest was the single property selected for ORV use. The system set for completion in the summer of 2014.
