Over One Million MD Tax Returns Processed So Far Says Franchot

Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot announced that his office has processed more than 1.1 million individual income tax returns for 2018. The one-millionth electronic return was submitted by a Frederick County tax filer. The deadline to file is just about a month away. Almost 95 percent of the returns were filed electronically. Franchot encourages e-filing as the most secure and efficient way to submit a tax return. Most Marylanders who file electronically receive their state refunds within three business days…
