Overturned Tractor Trailer Impacts I-68 Traffic

On 10/30/2011 at 0318 hours, Trooper’s from the Cumberland Barrack were dispatched to westbound Interstate 68 east of Fifteen Mile Creek Road in reference to an overturned tractor trailer.  Darryl Hooks 47 years of age from Woodbridge, VA was operating a 2005 International Tractor and trailer westbound on I-68 W/O Fifteen Mile Creek Road. The driver lost control of the tractor trailer due to icy roadway conditions.   The tractor trailer traveled off the left side of the roadway striking the bridge.   The trailer was loaded with French fries and hamburgers.  Due to the trailer being destroyed the contents were thrown all over the roadway.   State Highway Administration, Allegany County Hazmat, Orleans Vol. Fire Dept and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
