PACE Event Set For This Thursday And Friday

The need for expanded broadband and greater fiber connectivity in Western Maryland will once again be the major talking point with the 44th annual Mountain Maryland PACE event set for Thursday and Friday. PACE (Positive Attitudes Change Everything) is the annual showcase for Allegany and Garrett counties held in Annapolis where local officials are granted access to top state-level administrators and lawmakers to seek support for local projects.  The Mountain Maryland Pace Reception and Breakfast, includes a social Thursday evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and a breakfast Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Both events will take place at the Graduate Annapolis hotel.   PACE is hosted by the Cumberland/Allegany County Industrial Foundation and the Garrett County Development Corp.  PACE 2020 co-chair Jeremy Irons said pushing to improve broadband has been a multiyear work in progress…
