On Saturday, Cumberland City Police responded to a business in the 700 block of Park St. for the report of a theft. Once on scene, Officers contacted store employees who advised they observed two females exit the store with a shopping cart full of bagged groceries. The employees also advised the females had not made an attempt to pay for any of the items. The females were confronted by store employees after they exited the store and were attempting to leave the area. The females were identified as Chelsey Dawn Bradfield and Bethany Jean Lafollette, both of Lavale MD. Both females were issued criminal citations for theft and released from the scene, pending trial in District Court.
