Paving on U.S. 50 to cause delays

The West Virginia Division of Highways advises motorists of upcoming delays on U.S. Route 50 in Romney beginning the evening of July 16 due to a resurfacing project involving milling and paving. The project will start at the intersection of River Road and will continue east to the intersection of Endler Avenue near 7-Eleven. Milling will be done from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Paving will take place July 17 during the same hours. Parking along U.S. 50 will be restricted during work hours.

Work will be performed by Belt Paving at a cost of $216,453.

Traffic will be under the direction of flaggers and a pilot truck.
