A spokesperson for Potomac Edison tells WCBC News that despite temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s all week and heat indexes in triple digits- there have been very few problems created by power surges. Todd Myers with PE says that the heat wave experienced in July of 2011 was actually worse, and that severe thunderstorms expected late Saturday afternoon should see temperatures dipping dramatically.
