On Thursday afternoon, Allegany County public school bus #57 en route to Northeast Elementary School, struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Henderson Avenue and Valley Street. There were no students on board the bus at the time of the accident, and a replacement bus has been sent to cover bus #57's afternoon runs. Police and medical personnel are at the scene tending to the pedestrian.
