On Saturday afternoon at about 12:15 PM, Maryland State Police were dispatched to the area of Alternate Route 40 E/O Clevelandtown Road, east of Boonsboro, for a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2013 Victory Vision motorcycle operated by Thomas Pudlinski was traveling west, as part of a group of motorcyclists.  Pudlinski failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle left the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail.  As a result of the impact Pudlinski was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Maryland State Police were assisted by Boonsboro Fire and Rescue, Boonsboro Police Department and the Washington County Fire Police. Alternate Route 40 was closed for approximately two hours while the collision was being investigated.
