Petersburg Pharmacy Pays Two Million Dollar Settlement

June 4th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

A Petersburg pharmacy and several employees have paid $2 million to end a federal investigation into its operations

A $2 million civil settlement with Judy’s Drug Store, Inc., Darin Judy, Emily Judy, Kimberly Arbaugh and Casey Watts was announced Wednesday by the U S Attorney's office.

As a result of paying the civil penalty, the investigation into the pharmacy will end.  Allegations are that the pharmacy filled prescriptions for controlled drugs, like certain painkillers, which were not written for legitimate medical purposes.
