Pharmacy Breaking And Entering

On Tuesday, May 07, 2013 at approximately 2:00 a.m., in the morning the Cumberland Police Department responded to a pharmacy located in the 600 block of Greene Street in reference to a breaking and entering.  Officers arrived on the scene and observed that a rear window to this business had been broken out.  Evidence at the scene indicated that the suspect entered the business.  The owner of the business responded and after checking the interior determined that nothing was stolen.  This business is equipped with an alarm system which did activate as the suspect entered the business.  A Cumberland Police Officer and his bloodhound responded to the scene and attempted to track the suspect.  A Crime Scene Technician with the Maryland State Police responded to the scene to collect evidence which was left behind by the suspect.  The Cumberland Police Department is requesting that anyone with information about this case please call 301-777-1600 or contact the Allegany County Crime Solvers at 301-722-4300.  Callers to Crime Solvers with information that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward up to $1,500.00.
