Philadelphia man arrested in Cumberland on crack, heroin charges

On August 27, 2019, members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, Maryland State Police S.T.A.T.E. Team, Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack, Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and Cumberland City Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant in the 16000 block of National Hwy, Frostburg, Allegany County, MD.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force into the distribution and sales of heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine in the Allegany County area. During the subsequent search, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force investigators located large amounts of heroin and crack cocaine. Also found was Oxycodone pills, United States Currency and CDS packaging material.

As a result, Curtis Tyrell McAllister, 38, of Philadelphia, PA was arrested.

McAllister was charged with the following:

- CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST CRACK COCAINE
- CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST HEROIN
- CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST OXYCODONE
- CDS: POSS-NOT MARIJUANA (3 Counts)

Following his initial appearance, McAllister was held without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
